Tough course, great views
Lovely run, but the rain made it slightly treacherous!
Muddy fun, challenging 10km
Additional 1km to finish line was unexpected
Great event, well-organised.
Please drop the tagline “pain is just weakness leaving the body”. It is wrong on all sorts of levels.
Fantastic
My first half marathon and I really enjoyed it - very well organised, great communication beforehand and on the day. I will be back!
Beautiful (but challenging!) route
Thoroughly enjoyed my first ultra. Everyone was very friendly, great aid stations (thank you for standing out in the rain), good signage (although I did get lost at one point and added on a couple of km! But this was probably my fault for not being very observant! Luckily I was running with a lovely guy who navigated us back on track!), beautiful scenery. I’d like to do it again but with better weather next time!
A testing Ultra marathon on a variety of surfaces around a picturesque reservoir.
Just the right number and location of feed stations, staffed with upbeat volunteers. The only thing I would look to change is the out and back at the end to make up the distance.
Challenging course
Good low key race on a stunning course value for money
Great for first timers
A great course and a friendly atmosphere.
A privilege to take part.
Just like to thank everyone who worked to set up and run this amazing event!
Fabulous event but it wasn’t a 10K
Really great event but it was 11k long not 10K - lucky thing I trained hard and was able to finish!
Beautiful but very slippery!
The course was longer than 10k - my watch said 10.4!
A great event. The terrain can be a bit challenging but the organisation and atmosphere were brilliant.
Torrenial rain, wet, muddy
Very well labelled half until the beginning of the last kilometre, but should have been obvious (if not totally shattered). Great, well stocked drinks, jelly baby, dried fruit, crisp stops and placed very usefully. Car park is pretty expensive. I wouldnt take a campervan again as I got stuck, so had to extend my parking. Amazing people attending, must be about 10 people gathered to help push me, add ramps under wheels etc all whilst they too were tired, thank you all. So friendly on the way round too.
Fun route with plenty to see
Challenging but enjoyable and friendly event in beautiful location.
Generally very well organised but a little chaotic at the finish with HM and 10km finishing at the same time from different directions.
Awesome day
Butterz
Proper hard that
Wet, muddy and a challenge
My first Marathon and I am glad I have done it here. It can only get easier from here on! It's a pretty route, but found myself looking more at where my feet were treading than what was around me. It didn't help with the weather, but it was a very muddy and slippery route. I went over 3 times in total. I've got hybrid footwear, but I would definitely suggest a word of warning to those entering this event. You may already have it and I probably missed the memo. The weather can't be helped by the event organisers and I could not fault the support at the stations. It is quite a remote run and found myself alone for most of it, so as a runner you lack motivation and cheers from people. Everyone I did pass was polite and gave a cheer which was nice.
All in all I am glad to have done this event. Would I do it again? I would take some convincing. I am a road runner and so this was definitely a challenge that I am proud to have completed. Thank you for hosting this event.
A great event with a fabulous course.
